Slatwall, also called slotwall, is a panel with horizontal grooves that accept hooks and other merchandising accessories. There are two ways to secure what hangs on it.

Option 1: a locking hook
A locking hook replaces the display hook. Our HandKey-style hooks lock all of the merchandise on the hook, front and rear, and also lock the hook to the slatwall so it cannot be removed. They have a price tag holder at the front.

| Hook | Length | Holds, on average | Key |
|---|---|---|---|
| White locking hook, B101 | 6 inches | About 3 items | B100 flat magnetic hand key |
| Black locking hook, B102 | 6 inches | About 3 items | B100 flat magnetic hand key |
| Black locking hook, B103 | 9 inches | 5 to 6 items | B100 flat magnetic hand key |
How many items a hook holds depends on package thickness. These hooks are made for slatwall and do not work with pegboard. The StopLock key does not open them.
Option 2: a StopLock on the hook you have
A StopLock slides onto an existing slatwall hook. Stock behind the lock stays on the hook; the items you leave in front stay open for customers. All of our StopLocks open with the R100 magnetic key. Check the hook's rod diameter and front end against the size and key chart before ordering.
Which to choose
- Lock everything: choose locking hooks when no item should leave the hook without staff.
- Keep self-service: choose StopLocks when customers should be able to take the front item.
- Keep your fixtures: StopLocks need no change to the display; locking hooks replace the hook.
The two use different keys, so decide before you order keys for staff. See which magnetic key fits.
