How Many StopLocks Do You Need? Planning an Order for One Store or Many

Ordering StopLocks is mostly counting. This is the order we suggest working in, whether you are fitting out one display or several stores.

1. Count the hooks you want to protect

You need one StopLock for each hook. Walk the display and count only the hooks that hold the products you lose. Most stores start with a few high-theft sections and add more later.

2. Check the rod size on each fixture

Different fixtures in the same store can use different hooks. Measure the metal rod of each type and note the shape of its front end, then match them to 4.5mm, 6mm or 7mm with the size and key chart. How to measure peg hooks shows what to measure.

3. Choose cases or the starter kit

  • Cases of 25. Every size is sold as a case of 25 locks. Cases do not include a key.
  • Starter kit. The 6mm starter kit has 100 red locks and one R100 key.

Round up to the next full case, and keep a few spare locks for hooks you add later.

4. Decide how many keys

All of our StopLocks open with the R100 magnetic key. Order one for each member of staff who restocks or helps customers at the display, and keep a spare in a secure place. Security keys are sold to businesses only; we verify each key order before it ships, so allow time for that on a first order.

5. Test before a large order

Request samples and we will send all three sizes in the unlocked position. Samples do not include a key, so try them on a hook that is not in use. Confirm the fit on the real display before you order for every store.

Ordering for several locations

Fixtures are not always the same from store to store, so measure at each one. For one order shipping to several addresses, or for quantity pricing, contact us with your counts by size and your ship-to locations.

Questions about fit or quantity? Request samples or contact us with your hook measurement and a photo of the hook.
